Dry Rot Paint - No Go Zone for Dry Rot - prevents surface spread - 2.5 litres

This is a white emulsion paint containing Polyphase, a fungicide which is incorporated in the paint film when it dries - amazingly Rot will not walk across this coating! This effect has been tested by the Government backed Building Research Establishment (B.R.E.) - the 'Gold Standard' in testing facilities for the Building industry. The paint can be used on timber and masonry, and it creates a 'No Go Zone' for Rot, regardless of future dampness problems. It has no smell and no vapour. Dry Rot barrier treatment without the unpleasantness.

Usage rate - Apply two coats, allowing surfaces to dry in between coats, at an average of 4 - 8 square metres per litre, per coat. This coverage will vary considerably with surface texture (e.g. bare brick, concrete, plaster, wood).

Apply to - walls below and between floors, the back of skirting boards, behind architraves, window frames and door frames, on Party Walls behind plaster (requires Bondacryl Primer for plastering).

Frequently purchased with this product - Bondacryl Primer, Box of Vinyl Gloves (100, uni-handed).

Dry Rot Paint - 1 litre £25.60, 2.5 litres £53.74 plus VAT.

Fugenex Dry Rot Sensors - change colour from blue to yellow

Fugenex Dry Rot Sensors in a box of 8

The Fugenex Dry Rot Sensor Kit contains 8 treated sticks with plastic caps.

Usage - push into a drilled hole about 8mm in diameter, in wood or masonry.

What is it?

* a simple to install treated wooden dowel that changes colour, from blue to yellow, in the presence of incipient Dry Rot

What does it do?

* it allows you to tell if Dry Rot is present at its earliest stages, in timber or masonry, giving you an early warning that action is required before your building is damaged

How is it installed?

* by drilling an 8mm diameter hole to a depth of 110mm in the 'at risk' timber or masonry

How does it work?

* the blue detector dye, that is vacuum impregnated into the wooden dowel, reacts to the chemical that Dry Rot produces - oxalic acid - at very low levels, turning the dye to yellow.

How much do they cost?

* about £15 - £20 each if installed by a Specialist during treatment works, or purchase direct via our Order Page - see below.

Benefits are as follows;

  1. Change colour to show Dry rot blue to yellow
  2. Only require an 8mm diameter hole
  3. Quick fit and remove to view
  4. Can remain on test indefinitely
